The Daily Buzzz is an photo web blog. I post a photo every weekday and email them to subscribers. The Dog Buzzz posts on Thursday, and the Nature on Friday. BuzzZen posts every so often.

The photographs are a document of what I'm seeing. They are not social commentary. They are not a treatise on Nature. They are not staged, they are found. I don't know how to explain them any better. If I could I would have been a writer.

Alongside the photos, I post an excerpt from books I am reading, an image I've found on the web, and a link to another web site. I attempt to relate them to each other, so they are a coherent statement. Lately I've been commenting a lot on how far we are drifting from our earlier relationship to Nature, and whether that is going to get us into a lot of trouble.

BIO

My name is Bee Ottinger and I was a commercial and music video editor in Los Angeles, California for 30 years. I started out as a serious art photographer right out of graduate school at Cal Arts in 1970. I enjoyed that time of minimum wage jobs and a superior attitude towards all who were truly working for a living, but it got old and I wanted to make more of a difference. So I sold out and joined the entertainment industry. It was exciting to work on things that people actually saw.
I got back into still photography in 2000 after lasex surgery. I bought a small digital camera to take pictures on a vacation, got lured back into taking pictures, and ended up sending the photos to my friends through email. They enjoyed them so much I decided to keep sending photos to them on a daily basis. Hence this web page, which archives the ones I’ve already sent, and adds a new one every weekday.
